Tall Ships Festival | Dana Point Harbor

The Tall Ships Festival, Ocean Institute’s premier event, celebrates California’s rich maritime history and our connection to the sea. An extraordinary fleet of historic tall ships sail into Dana Point harbor, and history comes alive as crews from each ship, along with historical re-enactors, engage the public in cannon battles, pirate adventures, mermaid encounters, ship tours and much more. Tchaikovsky Spectacular (with fireworks!) | Pacific Amphitheatre, OC Fair & Event Center

End the summer with a bang at Pacific Symphony’s Tchaikovsky Spectacular at Pacific Amphitheatre with maestro Carl St.Clair conducting, featuring violinist Benjamin Beilman and the much-acclaimed Pacific Symphony. Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, complete with live cannons and brilliant fireworks, will leave you smiling. Orange County School of the Arts’ Season Premiere offers a fabulous beachfront dinner and concert featuring acclaimed recording artist and OCSA alumnus Terron Brooks performing R&B favorites from the 1960s with the talented vocalists and instrumentalists from OCSA’s Popular Music Conservatory.
