Summer Jazz Series | Julianne and George Argyros Plaza

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is offering free jazz concerts in its outdoor Julianne and George Argyros Plaza every Friday night through August 30, 7-9 p.m. Families are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. for picnic dinners – by bringing their own food, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages or purchasing items from George’s Café. Beach chairs, blankets, towels and seat cushions are welcome. SCFTA.org

SUP Glow Night Tours | Newport Dunes/Pirate Coast Beach

The Pirate Coast Paddle Company’s SUP Glow Night Tours on Friday and Saturday nights through August 26thprovide you with a board that is equipped with LED lighting that illuminates the bay, allowing you to see marine life. Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert | Pacific Amphitheatre/OC Fair & Event Center

Travel to a galaxy far far away as Pacific Symphony performs John Williams’ legendary score live while the iconic film, Star Wars: A New Hope,is projected on a giant high-definition screen. The 1977 film release of Star Wars IV, A New Hope, was lauded a success due primarily because of the Williams-composed score. Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo | Ortega Hwy & Antonio/La Pata, San Juan Capistrano

The 19thAnnual Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo will take place at the Mission Viejo Riding Park, where top rodeo contestants compete in the richest two-day rodeo in the country with a purse totaling $180,000.
