Shalimar Learning Center Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Shalimar Learning Center in Costa Mesa marked its 25th anniversary at a benefit at The Harper in Costa Mesa with 150 supporters attending to celebrate the impact the nonprofit has had providing quality education to more than 5,000 neighborhood children positioning them for success in college and career. Think Together, a statewide education nonprofit committed to helping all students to succeed in their journey toward college and career, evolved from Shalimar to operate programs in nearly 50 school districts and serving more than 150,000 children. The evening’s 2019 Signature Award recipients included the first-ever Legacy Award presented to Trish O’Donnell in honor of her late husband John’s generosity during the critical early days of the Center. Pacific Life Foundation received the Innovator Awardfor the more than $200k contributed to Shalimar programs, and the Partner Award was presented to National Charity League’s Newport Chapter for its financial and volunteer support. ThinkTogether.org
