A Well-Deserved Tribute!
Judy Moore’slove of dance is no secret. As Executive Vice President of Segerstrom Center for the Arts, she created the Center’s world-renowned dance series and has booked its dance season from the time it opened in 1986. She introduced Orange County audiences to the renowned American Ballet Theatre, and, more recently, was instrumental in establishing theAmerican Ballet Theatre’s Gillespie School of Danceat the Center in a partnership with the esteemed ballet company. In recognition of her efforts, the Pas de Deux Chapterof the Guilds of Segerstrom Center for the Arts hosted “An Evening of Dance”honoring Moore. It was held, appropriately, at the Center’s Judy Moore Theater, where a performance was featured with upper level students from the Gillespie School, followed by cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Former ABT dancer and internationally known teacher and coach Alaine Haubert, who is the Gillespie School principal, was on hand for the honors. Pas de Deux Chapter members Susan Helligman and Nancy Engwere event co-chairs. SCFTA.org
