In case you missed the month-long Neil Simonplay, Laughter on the 23rdFloor,at the Newport Theatre Arts Center– or better known at “The Cliff Drive Playhouse” – it was your loss. Hilariously funny, as only Simon can be, the play focuses on the star and writers of a TV comedy-variety show in the 1950s. The star, Max Prince, played by Lugano Diamonds’ own Bill Peters, gave a tour de forceperformance. Having seen Peters in productions at Cabrillo Playhouse for many years, it was no surprise to find him so. Directed by talented Brian Page, Peters was supported by an equally talented cast.
